FAQ
Do I need previous dance experience?
No prior experience is needed!
For Salsa Solo, you’ll first join our 4-week basics level to learn rhythm, posture, and the basic steps and turns. After that, you’ll be ready to continue in the weekly classes with confidence.
For Brazilian Samba, you can join the beginner level directly, and we’ll guide you step by step.
What clothes and shoes should I wear?
Just wear comfortable clothes that let you move freely, the most important thing is to feel good and enjoy dancing.
If you have dance shoes, great. If not, any comfortable shoes are totally fine, and you can get a pair of our “dance socks”. They slip over any shoes, reduce friction, protect your joints, and make moving on the floor much easier.
Can I dance barefoot or only with socks?
Even though some students prefer dancing barefoot, we don’t recommend it. When dancing, we put a lot of pressure on our feet, and without proper support, it can be harder on your joints.
We also know dance shoes can be expensive, which is why we offer “dance socks” that slip over any shoes.
We usually suggest investing in high quality dance shoes after about 2 months of dancing, to make sure you know you love dancing and will get the most out of them.
How crowded are the classes?
Classes are limited to a maximum of 15 participants, ensuring everyone receives personal attention. This allows for a supportive environment where you can learn comfortably, ask questions, and make steady progress.
Can I try a class before committing to a membership?
You’re welcome to come for a trial class and see how it feels, it’s the best way to get to know the group and the style. If you love it, you can join one of our membership plans, giving you the freedom to attend weekly classes and enjoy consistent progress. Please read the full Terms & Conditions before purchasing our classes.
